Wir hatten im August 2011 eine grandiose Safari mit Kilidove Tours. Dass sie so großartig war, lag vor allem an Dave, dem Fahrer und Führer. Wenn er sich nicht auf das Lenken des Fahrzeugs konzentrierte, waren seine Augen beim Fahnden nach Tieren. So kam es, dass wir Löwen beim Saufen aus einer Regenpfütze und beim Verspeisen eines Gnus beobachten konnten, Leoparden auf und vor Bäumen, Geparden in unmittelbarer Nähe, Gnus, Zebras, Flusspferde und so viele andere Tiere. Es war erstaunlich, wie viel Dave wusste. Kaum eine Frage blieb unbeantwortet. Wenn Dave vorankommen wollte, galt die tansanische Regel "pole pole" überhaupt nicht mehr. Trotzdem war er ein sicherer, souveräner Fahrer, der sich auch bei einer kleinen Panne sofort zu helfen wusste. Und er war ein Mensch, mit dem man viel lachen konnte.
Auch die Lodges, die wir hatten, waren von toller Qualität: das Ilboru Safari Lodge besonders wegen des besten Essens, das Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge und das Serengeti Sopa Lodge besonders wegen der Lage und des Komforts, das Kirurumu Tented Lodge, weil es sehr schonend in die Landschaft gebaut wurde, gemütlich ist und sehr gute Verpflegung zu bieten hat, das Maramboi Tented Lodge wegen seiner Lage am Lake Manyara.

Our final days in Tanzania were spent with George and his team on a 2-day safari in Tarangire National Park and Ngorogoro Crater (a conservation). The difference between a national park and a conversation is habitat. The Park only allows wild animals to live there. The conservation allows the Massai tribe (only), their domestic animals, and wild animals to live on it. The Tarangire Park is not fenced in – as it allows its animals to move freely in and out of the park. There was less rainfall this year, exacerbating the reduced water situation in the region. We were blessed to come towards the end of the rainy season, which is when many of the animals come back into the park to access its water sources. George's drivers taught our mission team all of this!
Within 3 hours of our park entry, we saw a couple sets of lions (both sets eating zebra and wildebeest), 2 cheetahs (and were blessed to hear their sweet calls to one another – we got it on film), elephants, hyenas, and a variety of other animals. A few hours later, we were beginning to head out of the park, we were blessed to witness a lioness approach our vehicles, use our vehicles and the natural terrain to cover her movement, and isolate a younger wildebeest and kill it (we got that on video as well). After her kill, another lioness approached her with 6 lion cubs! Such a beautiful part of the cycle of life! We also witnessed an Ostrich mating dance (?). I think the only thing we didn’t see was a birth ….oh yeah, and a leopard (although we did get a picture of a dead gazelle in a tree that a leopard more than likely dragged up there). The male lions didn’t ever seemed bothered by the safari vehicles – as you can see they walked right up to us! Such an amazing 2 days.

As for Kilidove Tours and Safaris Ltd I can confidently give my warmest recommendations. My husband and I,with 4 other friends spent two weeks in Tanzania in April 2010. The whole trip wasorganised through Kilidove and we had the most fantastic holiday with the very knowledgeable guides, well organised excursions, and a supportive and helpful agency in all ways. The manage George is a very friendly and committed young man who in a very short time has builtup experience and is totally dedicated tothe job. We spent sometime in Moshi where wevisited orphanage andwent few excursion(Maasai Land and Kilimanjaro), went off to Arusha for safari in Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and Serengeti ended our holiday with 4 days in Zanzibar.
I would like to thank Kilidove tours for the recent climb and safari we did in Tanzania. We were a group of 15 and we did the Rongai route.
All the porters and guides were the happiest in the mountain. We as a group were happy and jovial.
Deo (Mountain guide) made the trip for us to the top. The trip to Serengeti and Zanzibar was fantastic David (Safari guide) did all possibility to make sure we spot all the big five in only four days trip

After our flight from home to Tanzania our Safari trip started from Nairobi Airport then we fly out to Kilimanjaro, we met the Kilidove's Drivers waiting for us around 9am.
They drove the car from Airport to Arusha National park,Lake Mayara, Serengeti,Ngorongoro,and last Tarangire. The safari trip was well organised and well arranged.Because as we were three families travelling together we were worried about the children, my old parents and more things like that.
The guides advices everything that we have to be aware of and he also assists on finding out our other interests out of Safari, visiting the local communities and our other private issues.
On the accommodation it was good as we spent our all nights in Hotels on the Parks (Serena, Seronera) and also the same hotels in out of park(Serena Mountain Village).We were very lucky because we have seen the Lion on a tree in Lake Manyara after the guide heard from the Radio that there is something we must go and see...
Let be honest Kilidove is the good Safari company in Tanzania.
